Bark grafting: This is used when the scion is smaller than the rootstock. The bark of the rootstock is cut, and the scion is inserted into the opening. The cambium layers of both the scion and rootstock must be aligned for a successful graft.


Approach grafting: This technique involves growing the scion in a pot next to the rootstock. Once the scion has developed enough, it is grafted onto the rootstock.


Budding: This is a method of grafting where a single bud from the scion is attached to the rootstock. The bud is inserted under the bark of the rootstock and then secured with a tie or grafting tape.
